WIGWAM SAVES THE DAY!

I checked into the wigwam after a terrible airbnb situation. After 6 Hours dealing with it, I was exhausted at almost midnight when I arrived to the Wigwam and was greeted by Jadyn. I couldn’t help but to unload as I checked in at how terrible my other experience was and how they treated me. Jadyn listened and for the first time that day/night I had felt welcome and in a safe place. She made sure to get us into a comfortable room and had Nathaniel assist us in getting settled in. Nathaniel was so empathetic and calming in bringing in everything we needed. I felt like I was asking so much in the middle of the night and no ask was to big even sharing his personal waters with me. I felt like Jadyn stayed up with me as I phoned her a few times through the night when I realized that I needed to extend the stay as my original trip was 5 nights. She made me feel like she was a friend that cared about me and its because she did care. I rested my head that night in the most beautiful room feeling supported by really awesome humans. I have always loved the wigwam but an employee like Jadyn doesn’t come along often and as fate would have it that was her first night back working the night shift and I truly needed her after my prior ordeal. She was the face of the establishment and represented them 20/10. Her and Nathaniel both continued to check in on me and do kind things for me specifically stating that they wanted me to get the welcome that the airbnb didn’t give me, its a long story but I needed their support more than I knew. My children had the best time with her surprises and we were having so much fun that I stopped in late to extend the stay, AGAIN! If it wasn’t for Jadyn I would have likely booked another airbnb simply for space reasons but the wigwam had me extend 3 times because of her. Don’t get me wrong everything there is excellent but I was sticking around because I felt so loved and safe. I wanted to point out Hayley at the wigwam bar who knew I wasn’t able to come to the bar and leave my kids alone and she pulled a few strings to get me the most delicious deserts and a well deserved margarita, Hayley, thank you! I never got to thank you but it meant so much to me. Please never change, Jadyn, Nathaniel & Hayley. Oh, and Chris too. Such a poised, kind, and sweet cabana guy who even ran and grabbed me an iced coffee from Starbucks when he was already off when I could have easily walked over there myself, but nope, iced coffee, wigwam pool, new friends, and core memories made. If you aren’t happy at the wigwam you aren’t at the wigwam because they make sure happiness is standard on every visit. I miss you guys already!

Gorgeous and peaceful, classic Southwestern resort

We were looking for a place on the west side of Phoenix to attend spring training baseball. We’ve stayed at the Scottsdale a lot, and I have no idea that this beautiful resort was over here in the valley. Wish I had known about it sooner. What a great vibe the resort has. Sort of a blend between 5 star SW resorts like Westward,Look at Tucson, Bishops Lodge in Santa Fe and Monte Sagrado in Taos. Main pool under renovation through February but the Oasis pool and jacuzzi/ hot tub is the size of most other resort, main pools. The patios and balconies are gorgeous and are a great place to have room service. Only minor drawback: Parking is little tight on the south side of the resort. The grounds are gorgeous. I don’t know how they maintain the grass plant so well. Was quick and service was excellent (Joel was our outstanding server). My specifically very favorite thing about the resort was the very generous pool hours and hot tub time of 6 AM till 10 PM.

Return visit to historic resort

Our 6th visit to this resort. We appreciate the historic nature and enjoy the resort layout with plenty of places to sit both inside the lobby and outside. Fireplaces with fires and comfortable furniture gave us nice spot to meet with family members. The bonfires at night and the musical entertainment were a plus. The grounds are always well manicured and provide plenty of places to walk. Appreciated the fresh oranges and flavored water in the lobby. Rooms have been remodeled. Carpet has been replaced by vinyl flooring negatively affecting the sound proofing. Request a room without a connecting room as neighbors coughs and talking can be heard through the connecting door. This was the smallest room we have had. The "kitchen" area equipped with a sink and small refrigerator was rather useless. The shower, sink area was a little cramped when 2 people were trying to get ready. Shower door should open in the opposite directions. Bed was comfortable. Large flat screen TV. There was plenty of storage space for clothes. Only the smaller of the two pools was open during our stay. The large pool was being renovated. Resort fee + tax of $46.65 should have been reduced during the renovation. There is also a golf course and tennis courts which we did not use.

Beautiful Oasis

The grounds were gorgeous and immaculately kept. The staff were all very helpful and polite the entire time. The reception even helped put together a surprise for my wife for her birthday upon our arrival. The food at Red's and the Wigwam bar was so good! I can't wait to stay here again and play some golf!
