As 2020 is coming to a close, spirits are high at The Wigwam. In the new year, we are committed to continue the same level of service and dedication to safety. You will be happy to know that Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC), a Division of ISSA, the World Cleaning Industry Association; has awarded The Wigwam the GBAC STARTM accreditation. This prestigious achievement is the gold standard for outbreak prevention, response, and recovery from infectious diseases.
We have teams which are continuously monitoring and screening information from Centre of Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), the Governor's office of Arizona, and Mayor's Office of Litchfield Park. We are leaving no stone unturned to making your vacations at The Wigwam safe and enjoyable.
Among the policies implemented to ensure the safety and well-being of our guests, we are providing flexibility in reservations and contactless key-drop at check-out; along with access to hand sanitizers in all high-traffic areas. We are following strict guidelines for disinfection and cleanliness of all public areas in addition to constant health checks of our staff.
Guestrooms: The Wigwam's sprawling 440-acre grounds are perfect for a relaxing stay while exercising social distancing. If you prefer the privacy of our luxurious rooms, you can rest assured that you will not be disturbed. No staff is allowed inside the rooms, in keeping with the safety norms and guidelines. However, if you book a stay with us for four days or longer, housekeeping services will be provided (upon request).
Public Amenities: All our pools are open. We have implemented cleaning protocols set by the CDC and have upgraded cleaning, disinfection, and sanitization of the pool area. Lounge chairs have been rearranged according to social distancing standards. Guests are requested to gather in groups of less than ten. These restrictions have been put in place keeping your safety in mind.
Golf: The Wigwam is a 54-hole golf resort and end of the year provides perfect weather conditions for this salubrious outdoor activity. We are carrying out safety and precautionary measures to ensure that your golfing experience is heightened by a peaceful mind. You can pre-book your tee time or pay by credit card at the shop, where only four guests will be allowed at a time. Guests are requested to carry their own golf clubs and may choose to use a single-user cart. Golf carts will be sanitized before and after play.
Spa: The LeMond Aveda Salon-Spa is currently open for services. Guests can make prior reservation at the desk and treat themselves to a relaxing time. Health and temperature checks will be conducted on the staff and the guests upon arrival at the salon. It is mandatory for all staff of the salon and spa to wash and sanitize before and after interaction with a guest.
Dining: Seating areas of all our restaurants have been reconfigured to maintain social distancing. However, we are providing restricted seating for parties of less than ten only. All menus are used only once and disposed off afterwards. Digital menus are also available. All our team members have successfully completed their training from ServSafe. All staff will be wearing masks at all times. Before and after every interaction with the guest, our staff have been trained to wash and sanitize their hands.
We are committed to the safety of our guests and associates and under the guidelines of Wigwam Cares Wellness program, we have brought together our very special Sanitation and Wellness Awareness Team (SWAT), who will provide helpful and friendly assistance during your stay. All cleaning is being done with peroxide-based cleaners, which are known to be most effective against viruses.
