The Wigwam has been long celebrated as one of the Greater-Phoenix area's most historical resorts. The site is rich in history, having become many new versions of its former self over the years. Originally built way back in 1918, the spot was a popular gathering place for the top, Ohio-based executives of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber corporation. Flash forward to the present day and the location in Litchfield Park is a luxurious oasis in the desert climate of Arizona.
With three pools, dual water slides, and luxury cabanas, the property is equally enticing when it comes to spending time there during the summer, fall, spring, and winter months. Winters in Phoenix are quite mild, with average high temperatures staying in the mid-70s into November, and only dropping into the mid-60s in December.
Our guest rooms, suites and accommodations are one of the most talked-about parts of our resort. The elegantly crafted, adobe-style collection includes casitas, guest rooms and suites, all nestled throughout our beautiful, well-groomed resort grounds totaling 331 guestrooms. With our large palms, vast flower gardens, and over eight thousand vibrant rose bushes, the paths among our resort are beautiful any time of the season. In addition to the size and type of room, guests can also choose their location on the property. Whether you want to park close to your room or be near one of our three pools, we have those options available on a first come first serve basis.
The Adobe Collection includes six different types of rooms and suites. The first is the traditional, which features southwestern décor, a large working desk, and a sitting area. The choice is available to have one king or two queen beds. The Adobe Terrace is similar in size and options but includes a private terrace or balcony. The Adobe Traditional Suite is another step up, offering a larger, Arizona-inspired, one-bedroom, with a comfortable living area. The Adobe Pool Suite and Casita Suite are both located near the Adobe Pool, yet the Casita boasts up to 1,000-square-feet of room. The large room includes a rustic log beam ceiling, beautiful stone fireplace, sofa sleeper, and more.
The Oasis Collection is another section of our resort, one that's located within a private courtyard setting. It is often referred to by our guests as a hotel within a hotel, and offers a secluded selection of guestrooms and suites. The Oasis Terrace is 612-square-feet of genuine décor, high ceilings, and luxury linens. The Oasis Terrace Suite takes everything up a notch, providing 1,200-square-feet and luxurious amenities, including an expansive private terrace with a warm fireplace.
