Getting to Know the Wigwam Resort

Deeply entwined with Arizona's historical past, The Wigwam welcomes you to come, stay, and make some history of your own. Built in 1918 as a retreat for executives of the Goodyear Company, the grand Wigwam Resort maintains its historical character, while delivering a contemporary, modern-day luxury experience. Old photographs line the walls all through the resort. The grounds are filled with art, antiques and comfy areas for fireside dining, both inside and outside. The Wigwam is a satisfying and not-too-expensive option for a lodge or golf stay within the Phoenix area.

The Wigwam has magnificent restaurants, stunning golf courses, a day spa, beautiful grounds to walk, swimming pools, bocce courts, and volleyball to offer guests. The memorable Red's Bar and Grill rounds out the food options at the resort, situated behind the practice green.

Although the resort has steadily grown over the past eighty years, a portion of the original structure, The Organizational House, remains as the cornerstone of The Wigwam's authenticity and southwestern charm. From dawn's first blush to the tangerine streaks of our Sonoran Desert sunsets, each day at The Wigwam is wrapped in unending potential.

Accommodations are unique and quaint. With casitas, suites and guest rooms available, you'll be able to find a home away from home that suits your style and needs. Our rooms are nestled among beautiful landscaping, consisting of rose bushes, palm trees, gardens of flowers and many citrus trees. The majority of our rooms have access to patios or a balcony, which brings the outdoors in.

Seven outdoor event areas make it easy to plan your meeting, corporate event, or even your wedding. Speak with an event planner to get a quote and find out what our available dates are today.

With three pools, waterslide features, and cabanas, The Wigwam is the perfect spot to beat the summertime heat. We recommend guests play a round of golf earlier in the day in the summertime to avoid the heart of the day. Other times of the year are more flexible, weather permitting. Don't forget about night swims during the summer, as well as our full-service spa and fitness center.

The Wigwam is the only resort with guest access to five golf courses, including the Arizona Biltmore Country Club. It's a majestic spot to come, stay and play in style. Many golfers make a trip out of coming for an extended weekend to play and relax in the Valley of the Sun.
