The Phantom of the Opera is a touring production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s landmark musical that brings the show’s lavish sets, iconic score and dramatic love story to ASU Gammage in Tempe. It is presented as Cameron Mackintosh’s revitalized new production—retaining Maria Björnson’s celebrated designs and the musical’s classic staging—making the tour notable for its high production values and broad critical and audience acclaim. Performances take place at the Frank Lloyd Wright–designed ASU Gammage Auditorium on the Arizona State University campus, a major performing-arts venue in Tempe.
