Tickets to the Native American Basketball Invitational (NABI) semifinal and championship games are now on sale. The biggest and most prestigious all-Native American basketball tournament in North America, will host six games at Footprint Center on Saturday, July 27. Doors will open at 8:00 a.m. with tip off for the semifinal's games at 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. for the championship games.
"NABI continues to grow year after year and the time has come to expand our stands as well," said GinaMarie Scarpa, President of NABI. "We are thrilled that both the semifinals and championship games will be at Footprint Center, allowing more of our youth the opportunity to play on the same court as their favorite NBA and WNBA stars while meeting the demand of our fans. Last year our semifinals at Phoenix College were standing room only but with 196 teams competing this year we are expecting larger crowds."
NABI has been hosting its championship games at Footprint Center since its inception in 2003, through a partnership with the Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury. This year, a record-breaking 196 teams will participate, representing more than 180 Tribal Nations.
