Nearby Fairs & Festivals In Arizona

In Arizona, there are many reasons to celebrate. Fairs and festivals are held throughout the year, to celebrate different activities such as food, culture, arts and crafts, trees, animals, holidays, and historical events, just to name a few. Whether you are a local or a visitor, you should attend at least one of these events, where you will get an opportunity to munch on delicious food and sip on drinks, taste mouthwatering dishes, learn a new skill and enjoy some good music, depending on the event. Why would you want to miss all that fun? If you are staying at The Wigwam Arizona, here are some of the fairs and festivals to attend.

Downtown Mesa Festival of the Arts

First hosted in 2008, this free event features music, food, unique artistic creations, and plenty of fun for the whole family. Visitors have the opportunity to sample works of both emerging and seasoned artists, including metal crafts, woodworking, food items, photography, jewelry, handmade soaps, ceramics, and gift items, among others. It provides a unique platform for artists to display their work and sell to the public. Small local bands usually perform music. Dance groups will also be present. It will be held on the first and third Saturdays of October 2017, running through to April 2018.

Railfair

The McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park uses this festival as an opportunity to celebrate everything related to the railroad network. It features model train displays, as well as a wide range of railroad equipment, which has been preserved for over hundreds of years. You will also get a free tour of the epic Roald Amundsen Pullman Car, as well as the Scottsdale Railroad Museum. If you wish to take a trip to Paradise & Pacific Railroad and Charros Carousel, then you will only have to part with $2. If you are into history, then you don't want to miss this event.

4th Annual Clarktoberfest & Dogtoberfest

Dogtoberfest is combining with Clarktoberfest to bring you a fun-filled event for the whole family. This event features food from some of the best Clarkdale restaurants, as well as live music from both local and international bands. Drinks are available, thanks to the local breweries in the area. The main street will be packed with artists, community organizations, local businesses, arts, and crafts, as well as different activities for the various age groups present.

45th Annual Four Peaks Oktoberfest

October is not complete without Oktoberfest. This year, it is going down at the 45th Annual Four Peaks Oktoberfest, featuring food, great music and entertainment for the whole family. You should not miss this event for anything. A nice percentage of the proceeds from the festival are channeled to a charity as well. The funds are used to support various international exchange programs in different parts of the world, for educators, students, and professionals. For the first time since starting, you will be required to pay an admission fee to enjoy the full experience. The good news is that the money you pay will end up supporting noble causes.

As you can see, there is so much fun in Arizona during fall, and you don't want to miss any of these festivals. There will be great food, plenty of entertainment, and drinks, as well as an opportunity to buy locally produced items. As for your accommodation, there is no better place to stay than at The Wigwam Arizona.
